Norwalk, California-My "Dander"-This is why I LOVE Valentine's Day

He's a kid who has always walked his own road, even if it made absolutely no sense to anyone.
Or if it was a road that walked him into a wall or a closet because he wasn't PAYING ATTENTION!
If you aren't paying attention you could miss him because his sense of humor is subtle and he doesn't demand the spotlight. He is our "Dander"! Alyssa gave him this nickname when she was only 15 months old. A nickname that has carried over to his 16th birthday and will remain forever. He is the reason why I LOVE Valentine's Day!

Alexander,
Being born on Valentine's day doomed you to have a gentle heart and fierce loyalty. When you were in preschool you promised to buy a house next door to me, so you'd never have to spend a day without me! My heart melts with that promise and I've hung on to it everyday of my life. Those days make me want to freeze time for all of eternity! Thank you for being such a wonderful son and brother. The world is a better place with you in it. Always remember to stay close to God in all things, looks are not the most important thing, which is related to another truth, looks can be deceiving, on the really big decisions, pause before you act. Look before you leap. Always follow your gut. I love you beyond words!  I'm so proud of you and I'm glad God poured buckets of Love on you the day you were born.

xoxo,
Mom

Here are a couple of messages from Grandpa Tony & Grandma Mary:
my handsome danders! 16 OMG. I still remember the morning alexander was born on that rainy night as i drove you to the hospital. still brings tears of joy to my eyes and warms that special place in my heart for all of you. love you mija.~Grandpa Tony

From the moment you came home your gentle, even spirit lit up our home. Your smile and easy way of getting through everything with just a shrug and a knowing look. And the moments when the devil hid behind the sparkle in your eyes........oh my! those days! Your willingness to just be there has been a treasure to me from the first time I hugged you. ~Grandma Mary

I couldn't help but post all these pictures of my baby! Enjoy.

I Love you son! Happy Valentine's Day!

Riverside California-Riverside Mission Inn-Chris +Isabelle

On January 20, 2011 I had the pleasure of attending Elizabeth Luna's wedding workshop.  I was very happy to meet Elizabeth, since I have only known her through facebook and admired her photography skills for months.  We "clicked" (no pun intended) instantly and talked like we had been friends for years!  Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your knowledge, skills, and photography wisdom!  I am so grateful to have met you!

People, please brace yourselves for pure perfection and beyond gorgeous.....ready?  Here we go!

Thank you Chris & Isabelle for being so gorgeous!  You are both so fun be around and your personalities exude confidence!  Isabelle you are a going places girl!!  I saw your new pictures and all I can say is "WOW"!!
If your viewing my neglected blog, here's a HUGE Thank You, to you, from me!!  In December my computer crashed, I was devastated!!  I was balling like a big overgrown baby!  My husband let me mope around and feel sorry for myself, because who else would feel sorry for me?  Only me, right?  Yes!  It gave me time to reflect on where I would like to see myself for 2011 and what I was missing out on in the cyber world.

I learned to live without a desktop...I didn't die, like I told Abe I would.  Turns out the computer crashing was a blessing in disguise.  I went from a PC to an iMAC.  I am in LOVE!!!!!!!

I mapped out a business plan.

I am grateful for many things in 2010:

like meeting Jasmine Star at Cypress College Photo Expo. She is amazing, beautiful and has a heart of gold!  Diving into photography was a done deal after hearing her story.  I'd rather see you fail at something you love than to succeed at something you hate." J*

Attending my 1st LA Smug Mug meetup "Clarity" by Jeff Jochum.

attending Tonya Joy's Workshop, where I got to meet some wonderful ladies and shoot some Fabulous people!  See the workshop here

I'm so ready for 2011!!  I know we're already in February, but so far so good!

I started off my year going to Elizabeth Luna's workshop!  I had a blast and met some wonderful and talented ladies.  (pictures to come in another post).

I got to go to my 1st OC Smug Mug meetup hosted by Hannsie Trainor.  Cean Orrett was such a rock star and shared his skills and knowledge in Survival and Longevity In The Photography Industry.  His Q & A was so informative.

I am so grateful for all the people I have met and where this business is going.  I feel so blessed!
